Is Grip Formula legal to compete with?
Yes. Grip Formula is legal to compete with because it is not an adhesive. It is a non-adhesive drying agent, not a banned sticky or tacky substance. It works the opposite way: absorbing moisture and increasing friction by drying the surface.
Is Grip Formula just liquid chalk?
No. Liquid chalk was built for climbing and lifting, where the goal is to get the hand as dry as it will go. A quarterback does not want maximum dryness. Grip on a football peaks at a specific amount of moisture, and going bone dry takes you past it. Grip Formula was built to hit that band instead of overshooting it.
What exactly is Grip Formula?
A premium liquid grip built specifically for quarterbacks. It dries the surface of your hand on contact, eliminating sweat and humidity that compromise control of the football. It is the right mix of dry while still giving your hand the proper grip you need. It is not a tack, not a wax, and not an adhesive.
How do I apply it?
Start with a quarter-size drop on your hand. Rub it in with both hands for a few seconds until dry. The grip activates as it dries. How much you use is preference: some quarterbacks want more, some want less, so adjust until it feels right in your hand. One application typically lasts for a throwing session or game. Reapply as needed.
Will it wash off or leave a mess?
No mess. Grip Formula dries clean and leaves no chalky residue on your hands, your gloves, or the ball. When you are done, it rinses off easily with water.
